Great Bowden residents: Act now on Welham Lane site!

9.24.00pm GMT Tue 27th Oct 2009

Focsa, the company responsible for emptying bins in the Harborough, is planning to move to a site off Welham Lane just outside Great Bowden.

Homes throughout Great Bowden have received an urgent letter from Lib Dem Chairman Phil Knowles, County Councillor Sarah Hill and District Councillor Barbara Johnson warning them of the proposal and calling on them to make their views known.

An agreement would be sought to prevent the increase in refuse and other commercial vehicles travelling through the village. Would you be happy with this?

It is suggested the site would also include composting of green waste. What do you think that would mean for the village and surrounding area?

It's important that you take action as quickly as possible and that you make your views known. Follow the link below to check the application and make your comments online.

Or you can ring the Liberal Democrat team: Cllr Sarah Hill on 431993, Barbara Johnson on 446294 or Phil Knowles on 07710 026392.
