Vince Cable interviewed in Market Harborough

Yesterday two leading Liberal Democrat MPs visited Market Harborough.

Vince Cable, the party's deputy leader, met local business people and visited the site of the proposed Pennbury eco-town. He back the local Lib Dem campaign against the development.

In the evening Chris Huhne, the Lib Dem shadow home secretary, was the guest speaker at Market Harborough Lib Dems' Annual Dinner. He spoke about the current economic crises and the importance of defending our traditional liberties.

Bill Newton Dunn, the Lib Dem MEP for the East Midlands, also spoke at the dinner.
